一九八八年以优异成绩考入中央音乐学院。在校期间，曾担任过中央音乐学院学生会主席，
中国青年交响乐团乐队负责人，是八九年度北京音乐厅音乐家小组成员. 九三年初来美深造，
以全额奖学金考入美国布鲁克里音乐学院 (Berkeley College of Music). 从八五年以来,曾任
古典艺术团队指导,八六至八七年担任管乐团指挥. 在中国青年交响乐团工作期间,曾随团多次
出国访问演出. 在美期间发表了多部音乐作品, 一九九七年庆香港回归期间创作发表的声乐作
品 “啊! 香港”, 首演时受到普遍好评. 自一九九七年十月起担任波士顿黄河艺术团指挥. 作为艺
术总监及主要的策划者, 乔先生成功地组织了几十场大型文艺晚会, 如九九年中央电视台春节
晚会主力阵容赴美访问的 “九九艳阳春”, “吕思清独奏音乐会”, “崔建个人演唱会”, “国庆五十周年”音乐歌舞晚会, “殷承宗独奏音乐会”, “上海交响乐团音乐会”, “吕远作品音乐会”, “李谷一个人演唱会”, “齐淑芳京剧专场”, “中国国家交响乐团音乐会” 等. 作为艺术总监从九七年至二零零六年连续十年为波士顿地区策划了近五十场大型春节综艺晚会. 从 2001年至2006年连续六年策划了波士顿中国艺术节. 一九九八年起开始担任波士顿中国表演艺术协会会长, 在乔先生的创导下先后创办了波士顿中国少儿合唱团, 中华群英合唱团,波士顿中华艺术合唱团, 康州中华艺术合唱团, 并担任艺术总监及指挥. 2002年, 在乔先生指挥的波士顿东方之声合唱团参加在北京举办的第六届中国国际合唱, 并荣获了两项大奖. 2004 年7月, 乔先生指挥的合唱团参加在Idaho举办的国际合唱节, 受到极高的评价. 2005年7月, 参加了加拿大蒙特利尔举办的国际合唱节, 在一百五十个合唱团中, 乔万钧先生指挥的合唱团被组委会评选为六个最佳合唱团之一, 并参加了加拿大国家电视台的专题节目. 2006年7月, 乔万钧先生指挥的波士顿东方之声合唱团及全体参赛合唱团员赴中国厦门参加第四届世界合唱比赛, 荣获混声合唱比赛银奖和铜奖. 2004年起, 由全美十五个城市组成的北美中国表演艺术协会并出任会长.

Musical Art with Honors and Merits
Mr. Wanjun Qiao, so diligent and talented, sociable and popular, young and experienced among the Chinese overseas artists in performing art, in Boston, also in North America, has really won his remarkable merits and honors through his perseverance in the past 20 years. In fact, his career achievements and his personal integrity have earned him such high prestige and worthy fame for all his work – in China or the USA. He is president of Boston Chinese Performing Art Association (since 1998), and, now also President of North America Performing art Association. Mr. Qiao began his professional career in 1988, when he earned the famous Central Conservatory in Beijing with academic distinction, and majored in Orchestra Department, where he served as Chairman of the Students Council, head of the band of Chinese Youth Symphony Orchestra, also, in 1988, a panel member of musicians at Beijing Music Hall. Strong-willed and aiming high, Qiao came to the US in 1993 – to pursue his further studies at Berkeley College of Music with full scholarship.

Ever since 1985, Mr. Qiao has exerted himself in his line. He worked in Beijing as director and conductor of the Classical Art Troupe and the Wind Instruments Troupe (1986-1987) respectively. When working in the Youth Symphony Orchestra, he paid a couple of visits to some foreign countries along with his troupe. In the States, he has composed, also published, quite a few musical pieces, e.g. “Oh!, Hong Kong”, a vocal one, composed in good time to celebrate HK’s return to China, was warmly praised, by his first audience in 1997, for his marvelous creativity with impressive effect.

From October 1997, he began to serve in Boston Yellow River Art Troupe as its conductor. In the past eight years, Mr. Qiao, as General Supervisor in Art, and Chief Designer, has successfully organized various grand concerts in Boston, and New England area, such as “99 Bright Spring”, (with most famous artists from the CCTV’ 99 Spring Festival Programs), “Lu Siqing’s Solo Concert”, “Song and Dance Concert for the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the PCR”, “Yin Chengzong Solo Concert” and a series of other great musical activities, like the 6th international Chorus Festival in Beijing (2002) with two grand awards, Idaho International Chorus Festival (2004), Montreal International Chorus Festival (2005) as one of the best chorus troupes, the 4th World Choir Game in Xiamen, China with silver and bronze awards. So, Mr. Qiao has done his best with his admirable achievements, and he is confident to march toward still greater career goals, for art and cultural exchanges between the East and the West.
